Terms of Service

By applying for or using SealedCitadel services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be 18 years or older to use SealedCitadel. You must have the legal authority to accept these terms on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

Access is granted by application only. We reserve the right to reject any application without providing a reason.

SealedCitadel is provided for lawful storage of private files. You may use the service for:

• ✓ Storing personal documents, communications, and files
• ✓ Protecting journalistic sources and materials
• ✓ Storing legally privileged documents
• ✓ Any other lawful purpose requiring strong privacy

You may not use SealedCitadel for:

• ✗ Storing or distributing illegal content of any kind
• ✗ Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance
• ✗ Facilitating fraud, extortion, or financial crimes
• ✗ Storing content that violates the rights of others
• ✗ Any activity that violates applicable law

Violations will result in immediate account termination and reporting to appropriate authorities where legally required.

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. We cannot recover lost passwords. Accounts cannot be restored after password loss. This is by design.

Do not share your credentials. We will never ask for your password.

Subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Upon cancellation, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

We make no guarantees of 100% uptime. We will make reasonable efforts to provide reliable service. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

Due to the nature of our security architecture (offline storage, Tor network), access times may be slower than conventional cloud storage. This is a feature, not a bug.

SealedCitadel is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the subscription fees paid in the 3 months preceding any claim.

We will comply with valid legal orders from competent authorities. However, due to our zero-knowledge architecture, we are technically unable to provide plaintext file contents or passwords — because we don't have them. We will provide only what we are technically able to provide.

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to active users. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
